Our Story
SPRTN 1s were born from a simple frustration: earbuds couldn’t keep up with real training. We’re athletes, and we got tired of gear that falls out, cuts out, and can’t handle sweat or water. We wanted a product that made you feel free and enhanced your performance and the athletic experience.
Long before SPRTN Technologies, we were already building. Max and Hinson grew up together and started our first business at 13, called Sub Zero Sodas, where we handcrafted soda recipes from natural ingredients and sold them door-to-door. That early obsession with hustle, problem-solving, and making something people actually want never left.
Max went on to begin building electronics at age 14 and then study Electrical & Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech and NC State, while Hinson studied Business and Economics - both of us focused on learning how to build real companies, not just ideas. SPRTN 1s is what all of that led to: the product we wished existed.
We’re building earbuds that let you run the full track without losing connection, then jump in the pool with the same pair - still locked in, still connected.
